Dr. Bill Papanastasiou, an Executive Medical Director of the Medispa at Victoria Park, graduated with scholarships from McGill Medical School in 1979. He then went on to specialty training in plastic surgery at McGill and became board certified in 1986. During his training in plastic surgery, he obtained a Master of Science degree after completing a year of research in microvascular surgery.
Throughout his career he has endeavored to be on the cutting edge of innovation and technology in his field. In 1989 he was the first to perform syringe liposculpture in the McGill system. Then in 1995 he was the first in Montreal to perform endoscopic breast implant surgery through a tiny incision in the underarm. In 2011, Dr. Papanastasiou introduced the revolutionary laser assisted Smartlipo to to the Montreal market. He has been a member of numerous professional societies and holds an academic position as Clinical Lecturer at McGill, teaching medical students and plastic surgery residents. He also teaches his surgical techniques to other visiting plastic surgeons. He has lectured both locally and internationally and has been frequently featured in the media.
Dr. Papanastasiou specializes in all aspects of cosmetic surgery including the face, breasts and body sculpting.
