What are Skinboosters™ Injections? at our clinic Midland.

Non-invasive solution
Restore hydration and get your glow on with Skinboosters™

Youthful, healthy-looking skin is the ultimate Holy Grail. We’re all chasing that envious glow and firmness our skin had in our younger years. However, as we age, our skin’s texture changes, often appearing duller and more tired than before.

That’s owed to the natural decline in collagen production, a crucial protein in our skin’s structure.

What if there was a way to turn back the clock, enhance skin texture, and reclaim your dewy, lit-from-within skin? Skinboosters™ might just be your secret weapon.

Achieve true radiance–and no one has to know how. Skinboosters is a type of dermal filler formulated to improve skin hydration, firmness, and luminosity. Our various clinics across Canada carry some of the most well-recognized brands used in the field today, including Restylane®, Vital and Vital Light, Teosyal®, and Redensity® 1 and Juvéderm® Volite.

To achieve these desirable results, your Victoria Park Medispa expert injects a very thin amount of hyaluronic acid filler into the skin. The product then naturally integrates into the skin, delivering dewy, radiant results. The treatment works for areas such as the face, upper neck, and even the back of the hands. So, what distinguishes Skinboosters and traditional dermal fillers? Although both dermal fillers and Skinboosters are formulated with hyaluronic acid (HA), that’s about where the similarities end. Dermal fillers are better suited for patients who want to sculpt their face, restore lost volume, add structure, or plump their pouts. Skinboosters, on the other hand, contain smaller amounts of HA and are injected directly into or below the surface of the skin. Skinboosters aren’t just for aging skin, either. This is the type of treatment that caters to even the twentysomething crowd looking to achieve the appearance of “glass skin.”

Technology

To give you the post-treatment glow you’re vying for, your Victoria Park Medispa expert will inject the product using a small needle. Because the needle is ultra-fine, no numbing cream is required for Skinboosters™. Initially, you’ll need three treatments, which should be scheduled at four to six week intervals. We advise you to come in every six to eight months for follow-up treatments—more regularly if you find your skin is especially susceptible to dryness during winter.

BefoRe THE TREATMENT

Considering minimally-invasive, anti-aging skin treatments? Book an in-person consultation. At your appointment, a Victoria Park Medispa expert will walk you through the process of a Skinboosters™ treatment. They will then decide whether this is the right option for you based on your aspirations.

During THE TREATMENT

Overall, you’ll find the Skinboosters™ procedure to be quite straightforward. Unlike with traditional dermal fillers, which involve adding volume or reshaping facial structure, Skinboosters™ all about achieving radiant skin. Your Victoria Park Medispa expert will inject the product using small, gentle jabs, dispersing the product just below the surface of the skin. The whole process should take, on average, approximately thirty minutes to an hour, at most.

After THE TREATMENT

Some minor swelling or bruising is completely normal right after treatment. Complete results may take a few days, up to evena few weeks, to appear. Most patients say they really begin to notice bright, renewed skin and overall improvement to skin firmness in the first few days after treatment. Beyond that, other results include:

  • A renewed, refreshed complexion
  • Minimized appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improved skin elasticity and firmed texture

Related Conditions

If you’re looking for natural, refreshed, and semi-permanent results—like you’ve just had the most moisturizing facial with lingering effect—Skinboosters™ can help you shine. We will recommend Skinboosters™ for anyone looking to address conditions such as:

  • A loss of skin elasticity
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Uneven skin texture or tone or a dull, lackluster skin
  • A reduced skin firmness
  • Rough skin texture
  • Early signs of aging
  • Fine lines around the eyes and the mouth
  • Aging skin on the neck and décolleté—some even consider this treatment to be skin care for aging necks

FAQ

Got questions about Skinboosters™ Injections? We’ve got your answers here

What ares can I treat?

Skinboosters can help refresh the skin in the face (lower cheek and jawline), neck and back of the hands.

What is the difference between fillers and Skinboosters™?

A Skinboosters ™treatment is not intended to fill lines and wrinkles. Instead, it is to hydrate the skin and promote formation of new collagen and elastin in the long term. Patients notice a more dewy and firmer appearance to the skin and more of a glow or radiance as a result.

The Skinboosters™ treatment works exceptionally well at enhancing the results of other treatments and can be added to most services at Victoria Park Medispa. It’s also the type of treatment that caters to those in their twenties who are looking to achieve the appearance of ‘glass skin.’

Finally, unlike hyaluronic acid which can be taken out with something called hyaluronidase, Radiesse and Sculptra cannot, so you need to wait until they naturally fade away if you are not happy with the result. That is why it’s important to work with an experienced injector to ensure the optimal results.

How long does a treatment last?

Following the initial treatment, the long-lasting Hyaluronic Acid (HA) in Skinboosters™ will provide hydration and can continue to last for 6-12 months to give your skin a wonderful glow. Maintenance is always recommended with HA products for continued benefits and improving results.

Why should I care about who performs my treatment?

At Victoria Park Medispa, we believe that all injectable treatments should be performed by physician specialists – board-certified plastic surgeons, general practitioners who specialize in aesthetics, dermatologists, and registered nurses. Our physicians are not only specialists, they are trainers of other physicians in Montreal and around the world. We believe their extensive medical and aesthetic training on the skin and the structure of the face can ensure the most natural looking and best possible rejuvenating result.
