Technology
VBeam is a type of pulsed dye laser. This means that the energy from the laser is delivered in pulses, and a dye is used to generate laser beams of different colours. The light from these lasers targets hemoglobin, a red protein found in the blood cells in blood vessels. This is how the laser is able to reduce redness in the treatment area. Vbeam is the ideal treatment option for facial redness, spider veins, stretch marks, and birthmarks. However, because it’s used to treat dilated blood vessels, it’s often referred to as a vascular laser.
Vbeam Laser Treatments
Vbeam treatment is an effective redness and rosacea treatment—but will it work on your complexion? There’s only one way to know. Book a consultation with a Victoria Park Medispa expert. At your appointment, your expert will determine whether fractional laser treatments are a suitable option for treating your skin-related conditions.
A single Vbeam session takes anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the treatment area. Most patients don’t consider Vbeam to be especially painful. They liken the sensation to the feeling of a light snap of an elastic band against the skin during treatment. If you’re concerned about pain, Vbeam includes a special dynamic cooling device that sprays the site with cold right before the laser is applied. There’s no downtime following treatment, but try to limit sun exposure so as not to deepen any inflammation.
Noticeable results typically start to appear in a few days. With time and following subsequent sessions, redness continues to fade. Generally, patients experiencing facial redness and blood vessels need about two to three treatments before seeing the results they’re looking for. For patients with port-wine stains or who are seeking scar reduction treatments may need about six to ten sessions.
We typically recommend Vbeam pulsed laser treatments for patients:

Got questions about Vbeam? We’ve got answers!
Your results from laser therapy for skin conditions varies, depending on the severity of the condition and lifestyle. Certain clients respond well to Vbeam treatment and have a quick and permanent reduction of their condition. Some areas are more resistant, and can have the condition come back after a period of weeks or months, though generally in a reduced fashion. Our experienced technicians, or dermatologists in certain cases, can best assess your condition and share their experience with you.
Most patients experience mild discomfort during treatment, and experience a slight tingling sensation following Vbeam.
