• BBL Hero (Body)

Reduce visible signs of aging, sun damage and pigmentation on the body like never before.

What Is BBL Hero and how does it work?

BBL HERO® is the newest take on our tried-and-true favorite, Forever Young BBL®. The name is an acronym and stands for Broadband Light High Energy Rapid Output. The original Forever Young BBL® is an advanced photorejuvenation treatment that uses broadband light to rejuvenate skin at a cellular level and reduce pigmentation, including brown spots and redness.

It works by emitting short bursts of high-intensity light to penetrate just below the skin’s surface, targeting the melanin that makes up brown spots and the blood vessels that create broken capillaries. The light energy will gently heat the upper layers of your skin and stimulate your skin cells to regenerate. This anti-aging and photo-correcting treatment boosts collagen and elastin, leaving you with clearer, smoother, glowing skin.* Studies have shown that regular treatment caused patients to look up to ten years younger than their average age.1

The benefit of BBL HERO® is its ability to emit the light with 4x the speed (faster than IPL), 3x the Peak Power (more effective) and 2 x the cooling effect (more comfortable than IPL). For context, a typical IPL machine may take up to one second apiece for a pulse, or light flash. A BBL HERO® pulse can take as few as three milliseconds, which means you can get 1,200 to 1,500 pulses in a single face treatment vs. 250 to 350 pulses with the original BBL®. As such, the clients can see results even faster.

BBL HERO® is the ideal treatment of pigmentation and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation on the legs, arms, hands, fingers, back, and décolleté.

*Individual results may vary.

Get Started

How long is a BBL HERO® treatment?

Treatment time varies depending on the area, however BBL HERO® is 4x faster than traditional BBL treatments. For example, we can treat your whole back in under 10 minutes! We often recommend three treatments, 4 weeks apart.

How does BBL HERO® feel?

Most clients describe the sensation to be similar to the light snap of an elastic band against the skin several times during treatment.  Though some clients experience temporary darkening of some brown spots and minimal redness for 48 hours, most clients experience no downtime following treatment.

How much does BBL HERO® cost?

The price of a BBL HERO® treatment ranges from $175 to $900 depending on the area treated. If you combine more than one treatment, you will receive a 15% discount.

How soon can I see results?

Results generally start showing days after the first session and progressively develop with each treatment.

How do I get started?

A BBL consultation with one of our highly trained laser technicians is free. We get to understand your skin type, discuss your goals and decide on a treatment plan together.

FAQs about BBL Hero

What areas are treated by BBL HERO®?

With BBL HERO® we can treat body areas such as legs, arms, hands, back and décolleté.

How long does a treatment last?

BBL HERO® has benefits for both pigmentation and skin rejuvenation with improved tone, brightness, clarity and reduction of fine lines. As the skin naturally ages, many of our clients keep a once a year maintenance regime for skin rejuvenation benefits. For pigmentation, results can be permanent if clients avoid sun exposure or are not susceptible to pigmentation. Some pigmentation clients also return for maintenance treatment every year or two.

What is the difference between BBL HERO® and Intense Pulsed Light Treatment (IPL)?

BBL HERO® is a more advanced version of the popular Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment. Victoria Park Medispa had one of the first IPL units in Canada before upgrading to BBL technology.

Can BBL or IPL be used for hair removal?

BBL and IPL treatments have been shown to have benefits for hair removal and some clinics use their IPL or BBL machines for hair removal.

However, we have found that our specialized laser hair removal machines have the best result. Therefore, we have a separate machine, the GentleMAX PRO, dedicated to hair removal treatments.

We’ll discuss your goals and create a treatment plan together.
