BE FOREVER YOUNG WITH A BBL PHOTOFACIAL TREATMENT

Want to glow in all your wisdom without any invasive surgical procedures? Rejuvenate the appearance of your skin and enhance its natural beauty by making it clearer, smoother and more vibrant with the Forever Young BBL (Broadband Light) photofacial treatment.

WHAT IS A FOREVER YOUNG BBL PHOTOFACIAL TREATMENT?

A BBL facial is a safe, corrective phototherapy treatment that can address a wide range of skin concerns that many face due to aging, sun exposure, acne, vascular lesions, rosacea, redness, dull skin, sagging skin, as well as from external factors such as pollution and harmful skin care products.

BBL photofacials can even out your skin tone and treat stubborn brown pigments like freckles and age spots. They can also tackle vascular issues, such as tiny red blood vessels that appear on the skin, and conditions like rosacea. If you dislike the uneven texture and lack of firmness of your skin, a BBL treatment may be right for you.

The added advantage of a BBL photofacial is in its versatility. Whether it’s your face, neck, or décolletage, a BBL treatment can be applied.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A FOREVER YOUNG BBL TREATMENT?

A Forever Young BBL photofacial is a more sophisticated and modern photorejuvenation therapy that uses broadband light to improve the radiance and texture of your skin.

  • During a non-surgical BBL treatment, a Victoria Park Medispa technician will apply a cool gel to the area of concern.
  • They will then use a chilled applicator to emit short bursts of high-intensity light to penetrate just below your skin’s surface, targeting either the melanin that makes up the pigmentation or the blood vessels that create broken capillaries, instigating the skin cells to renew themselves.
  • After the skin’s collagen and elastin are boosted, you are left with an even and glowing skin tone*. (* Individual results may vary.)
  • Following a Forever Young BBL treatment, you should avoid scented skin care products, topical acne treatments and exfoliants for up to a week.

ARE FOREVER YOUNG BBL FACIALS WORTH IT?

Studies have shown1 that regular Forever Young BBL treatments have allowed patients to look up to ten years younger than their real age.

According to one retrospective study1 by 491 evaluators, eleven patients were treated with Forever Young BBL over nine years and were found not to have aged over the study period.

But don’t just take our word for it! Our clients love it too, which is probably why BBL has become the most popular energy-based skin rejuvenation treatment at Victoria Park Medispa. Check out the amazing impact that regular Forever Young BBL treatments has had on our clients in our latest BBL before & after photos!

FAQS ABOUT FOREVER YOUNG BBL TREATMENTS

WHAT IS A BBL TREATMENT?

You may be asking yourself: “What does BBL mean?” BBL stands for Broadband Light. BBL is a high-intensity light that can repair an array of cosmetic skin concerns, including wrinkles, fine lines, acne, rosacea, and pigmentation.

IS A BBL PHOTOFACIAL TREATMENT CONSIDERED BBL SURGERY?

It is important to note that a BBL photofacial treatment by Forever Young is not BBL surgery. Our non-surgical BBL treatments are not invasive and typically do not require any recovery time.

HOW LONG DOES A BBL TREATMENT LAST?

Forever Young BBL photofacial treatments offer benefits for both pigmentation and skin rejuvenation with improved tone, brightness, clarity, and reduction of fine lines. As the skin naturally ages, many of our clients keep a maintenance regime each year. For pigmentation, results can be permanent if clients avoid sun exposure or are not susceptible to substantial pigmentation. Some of our clients that have pigmentation concerns also return for maintenance treatment every year or two.

WHAT AREAS ARE TREATED BY FOREVER YOUNG BBL?

Forever Young BBL treatments can treat the face, neck, or décolletage area. For larger surfaces on the body, we use BBL Hero.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FOREVER YOUNG BBL AND INTENSE PULSED LIGHT TREATMENT (IPL)?

Forever Young BBL is a more advanced version of the popular Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment. Victoria Park Medispa had one of the first IPL units in Canada before upgrading to Forever Young BBL treatments. Why did we make the switch? With Forever Young BBL photofacial treatments, you may notice results sooner than with IPL. In addition, BBL treatments can be especially effective for more severe skin conditions.

CAN BBL OR IPL BE USED FOR HAIR REMOVAL?

BBL and IPL treatments have both been shown to have benefits for hair removal. Some clinics use either their IPL or BBL machines for hair removal. However, we have found that our specialized laser hair removal machines, which are specifically designed for this type of treatment, offer the best results.

What you should do after your Forever Young BBL treatment

  • Your skin’s response can vary after a laser treatment. Erythema (redness) and light edema (swelling) are usually noted within a few minutes after the completion of the procedure.
  • A slight sunburn sensation in and around the area treated is also normal and expected. These reactions tend to subside within 1-4 hours after the treatment. A crust (or scab) may form more often on pigment lesions and is not abnormal nor unexpected. This represents the healing process.
  • Vascular lesions might appear redder, which varies from slight to moderate in most, but typically fades within several hours to days. Occasionally, purpura (bruising or red-purple color) is present after treatment of local vascular lesions, and this is an expected endpoint. This effect usually fades away in the proceeding 5-7 days after treatment.
  • A cold compress or an ice pack can be used to provide comfort if the treated area is especially warm.
  • While driving, you can protect your face by rotating your car’s sun shield panel towards the direction of the sun.
  • Avoid make-up application right after treatment to avoid skin irritation.
  • Avoid sun exposure of the treated area for a minimum of 4 weeks post treatment. The application of bronzers and use of sun beds are completely contraindicated during the period of your treatment.
  • Avoid exercising and swimming for a minimum of 12 hours post treatment or until any erythema and edema is gone from the skin.
  • Avoid hot yoga, saunas for a minimum of 48 hours post treatment.
  • Avoid application of any products that contain exfoliant and brightening ingredients for a minimum of 48 hours (about 2 days) post treatment or as instructed by your service provider.
