Coolsculpting for Body Contouring

Coolsculpting can help shape what you see without surgery or downtime.

LIVE IN YOUR BEST SKIN

We’ll never tell you that thinner is better. We will, however, say that you deserve to live in your best skin. If you have areas with stubborn fat that will prevent you from standing a little taller at the beach this summer, then we’ve got your back, belly, thighs, chin, and every inch in between. With over 7 million treatment cycles carried out worldwide, it’s not surprising that Coolsculpting has become our most popular body contouring treatment.

What Is Coolsculpting?

Coolsculpting is a non-surgical body contouring treatment that can freeze and remove fat from your body. Developed by Harvard scientists, it uses a patented and targeted cooling process to kill fat cells underneath the skin.

Why Victoria Park Medispa?

We were one of the first facilities to introduce Coolsculpting in Canada.

Selected as the first facility in Montreal to introduce Coolmini for treatment of the double chin and the first, and still one of the only in Montreal to introduce updated Coolsculpting technology for treatments in as little as 35 minutes with improved results, it’s no wonder we were voted one of the best Coolsculpting clinics.

At Victoria Park, you can have your Coolsculpting treatment during your lunch hour, or target several areas while enjoying a Netflix movie or tackling work on your laptop or our iPad.

Breakfast Television Stars, Wilder Weir and Olympic Athlete, Alexandre Despatie share their experience with CoolSculpting, the fat loss treatment available at Victoria Park Medispa, Montreal. Hear their thoughts and see the results!

How long is a CoolSculpting treatment?

A treatment takes as little as 35 minutes per area treated and there is no downtime following treatment. With DualSculpting, Victoria Park can even treat two areas at the same time. Most clients require two treatments, but some require more where greater fat loss is desired.

How does CoolSculpting feel / does it hurt?

Most clients feel no pain during treatment. Following treatment, clients feel numbness in the area treated with some clients feeling delayed onset of tingling pain like an area warming up from being frozen.

How much does Coolsculpting cost?

The cost starts at $800 for a single area, however, when you buy 3 cycles, the 4th is free.* Special financing with low monthly payments is available for all treatments.

*Applicable on CoolAdvantage, CoolMini and CoolSmooth.

How soon can I see results?

CoolSculpting results generally start showing a few weeks after your initial session, and progressively develop over a period of two months.

How do I get started?

A Coolsculpting consultation with one of our highly trained laser technicians is free. We discuss your goals and body type, review before and after photos, and decide on a treatment plan together.

FAQs about Coolsculpting

Is CoolSculpting safe?

As the #1 non-surgical, fat-reduction treatment worldwide, Coolsculpting is renowned for its safety and efficacy. Coolsculpting systems are controlled cooling devices designed with built-in safety measures. Rest assured that if sensors detect that the skin is getting too cold, the system will shut down automatically. Nevertheless, our technicians operate the machine, many of whom have attended CoolSculpting University in California for in-depth training.

This procedure is not for everyone; you should not try it if you suffer from cryoglobulinaemia, cold agglutinin disease or paroxysmal cold haemoglobinuria. Also, Coolsculpting is not a treatment for obesity. Your unique situation, and all potential risks will be discussed with you by our experienced and highly trained service providers during your free consultation before receiving any treatment.

What is body sculpting?

Body sculpting refers to procedures used to remove or reduce pockets of fat and/or enhance the shape of a particular body area. Body sculpting implies that you have reached your ideal weight but want a little help in the areas that resist dietary changes or exercise efforts. For non-surgical body sculpting, Victoria Park Medispa offers Coolsculpting for freezing fat away, Emsculpt Neo to build muscle and lose fat, and Exilis for skin tightening and reduction of cellulite.

What areas can be treated with Coolsculpting?

CoolSculpting is specifically designed to treat stubborn fat around the stomach, flanks, back, inner thighs as well as in select smaller areas like arms, knees, and under the chin.

How long does Coolsculpting last? What happens if I gain weight following treatment?

Adults have a fixed number of fat cells. Fat cells can expand as you put on weight, but Coolsculpting destroys them permanently. After seeing the results of their body contouring treatment, many clients actually take better care of themselves.

If you gain weight, your fat cells will grow as usual, but the treated area will just be smaller than it was originally. The best results are experienced by our clients who have relatively stable body weight and just want to remove the stubborn fat that naturally accumulates as we age.

Is Coolsculpting worth it?

If you are looking to reduce stubborn fat in areas such as under the chin, stomach, bra bulge, flanks, thighs, above the knee, or arms, Coolsculpting is a great solution to target those areas. As mentioned above, this is not a weight-loss solution. Discussing your desired results based on your unique situation with a highly trained and experienced technician during your free consultation will ensure your expectations match what the treatment can do, and hence determine whether it will be worth it for you.

What makes Coolsculpting a great non-surgical mommy makeover treatment?

From your first trimester through to your fourth (also known as the 12-week period following childbirth), your body has undergone some serious and beautiful transformations in order to create life and has repaired itself. The latter part, however, doesn’t always happen so easily. It’s completely normal to seek assistance when it comes to setting and achieving realistic postpartum goals, including those related to reducing stubborn fat where diet and exercise just won’t cut it. Coolsculpting is #1 when it comes to body contouring; it allows us to target and eliminate stubborn fat from the submental areas to bra bulge to the abdomen, and more.

How does Coolsculpting compare to liposuction and SmartLipo?

While Coolsculpting and liposuction (and other types of liposuction like SmartLipo) both remove fat cells from your body, Coolsculpting is a non-surgical treatment. It uses a patented cooling process to destroy fat cells without impacting your other tissues, whereas liposuction is a surgical process where an incision is made and fat cells and other tissues are removed from your body.

Liposuction may be an option for clients who are not averse to surgery and where a larger treatment is required, or when another surgery is already being done. Victoria Park Medispa has board-certified plastic surgeons who may be referred to as an option in these cases and our plastic surgeons will often refer clients to Coolsculpting in cases when it is the better option.

How long do I need to wait following childbirth to begin Coolsculpting treatments?

Postpartum women should wait a minimum of 6 months before proceeding with a treatment. It’s important to give the body ample time to recover following childbirth. Breastfeeding is a contraindication for Coolsculpting. We recommend booking your consultation once you’ve stopped breastfeeding completely.
