Downtown Montreal

Led by a powerhouse team of doctors and service providers, our downtown Montreal clinic is located in a two-floor, state-of-the-art, luxurious facility that you will want to come to again and again. In addition to our wide array of technologies we offer in all our medispas, we offer an artificially intelligent robotic assisted hair transplant solution at this location.

diVa is the world’s first vaginal therapy that uses a hybrid fractional laser (HFL) technology to address a woman’s most intimate challenges. Not only can it address post-partum concerns, but this is a laser treatment for vaginal dryness, urinary continence solution, and enhancing sexual sensation. It even works as a non-invasive bladder control treatment. Two types of energy pulses aid in resurfacing the vaginal skin while also stimulating collagen, blood vessel, and nerve ending regrowth beneath the surface of the vaginal walls. This deep layer of the vaginal skin is responsible for a vagina’s elasticity and ability to self-lubricate as well as the sensitivity in the vaginal canal.

What is
diVa Vaginal Therapy?

diVa is the world’s first vaginal therapy that uses a hybrid fractional laser (HFL) technology to address a woman’s most intimate challenges.

Technology

Each diVa treatment utilizes a high quality strengthened quartz dilator which is disposed of after each use. The laser hand piece is placed within the applicator and never touches the patient. This assures the highest level of cleanliness. .

We also offer another similar treatment called diVaTyte laser. This is a non-ablative laser procedure designed to restore the appearance of external vaginal skin. Using infrared energy, diVaTyte technology heats the layers of external vaginal tissue. This heating elevates the tissue temperature where collagen and elastin reside, thereby stimulating re-growth. It activates the collagen production in the vagina, immediately kicking in to repair and remodel. Over time, this leads to skin tightness and an improved tone. The non-invasive procedure uses surface cooling to protect the top layer of skin and to maintain comfort and safety throughout.

Before the treatment

Curious about vaginal rejuvenation laser therapy—but have some reservations? Don’t be shy. Book a consultation with one of our Victoria Park Medispa experts. No subject is too intimate or off the table. We’ll help you decide which treatment—including diVa—is the right choice for you based on your aspirations.

During THE TREATMENT

The diVa treatment, offered exclusively at our downtown Montreal and Place Versailles locations, takes just three to five minutes. For optimal results in your pelvic region, we offer patients a combo treatment of diVa, diVaTyte, and BTL Emsella. During the treatment, most patients say they experience nothing more than slight pressure against the vaginal wall.

After THE TREATMENT

Most patients are able to resume normal activities following treatment, though we strongly advise against exercise in the first 24 to 48 hours post-treatment. Some patients say they experience light cramping and spotting after their diVa treatment. In the first week following treatment, you must avoid penetration of any kind (including sexual intercourse or tampon insertion), as well as baths or swimming pools. Many of our patients say they notice a difference in terms of lubrication and urinary symptoms after just one treatment. However, we usually recommend three treatments for optimal results.

After the treatment, patients can expect to experience:

  • A newfound sensation of a tightened vaginal canal
  • An enhanced ability to reach orgasm thanks to improved vaginal lubrication
  • Improved control over urinary incontinence
  • And a significant improvement in quality of life and confidence

FAQ

Who is an ideal candidate for diVa?

Dealing with urinary stress incontinence, vaginal dryness, or desires vaginal tightness and lubrication? You may be a candidate for laser vaginal therapy. Similarly, those who are curious about vaginal therapy for menopause symptoms—including pain, irritation, bleeding or discharge—may also be suited for treatment.

New moms know that vaginal health after childbirth is sometimes an overlooked subject—but it’s a conversation that needs to happen. Many women may notice that the vaginal canal, and surrounding tissue, has extended. Others observe decreased sexual satisfaction and trouble holding in urine. Menopause, hysterectomy, chemotherapy and breastfeeding can reduce estrogen levels, which may result in the thinning, drying, or inflammation of the vaginal walls. This can also diminish vaginal lubrication and cause discomfort. Every woman’s journey on how to improve vaginal health is personal and unique. diVa technology allows your specialist to customize your treatment to address your intimate challenges, whether they be aesthetic or functional. Vaginal discomfort relief is possible.

Are there risks of adverse effects with diVa?

As of August 2018, over 10,000 diVa treatments have been delivered with only one reported adverse event unrelated to internal diVa treatment.  Like Victoria Park Medispa, the makers of diVa receive unsolicited feedback from patients telling them how diVa has provided them with profound relief in cases where they could find no other solution.

What makes diVa a great, non-surgical Mommy Makeover treatment?

It’s no secret that pregnancy and childbirth change women’s bodies, inside and out. diVa can help stimulate the growth of new collagen, blood vessels, and nerve endings below the surface of the vaginal walls. It’s also a pelvic floor strengthening option sought after by new moms. The deeper layer of the vaginal skin is responsible for the elastic nature of the vagina, the lubrication of the vaginal skin and the sensitivity of the vaginal canal. Restoring this deeper vaginal layer creates significant long-term changes to dry, lax or painful tissue.

How long do I need to wait following childbirth to begin diVa treatments? Do I need to be done breastfeeding?

Post-partum women should wait a minimum of six months before proceeding with any of our sexual health treatments, such as diVA, diVaTyte, Emsella, G Shot or O Shot. It’s important to give the body ample time to recover following childbirth. Fortunately, for breastfeeding women there are no contraindications to note, so book a consultation around your 6-month mark or whenever you’re ready to learn more about post-childbirth vaginal recovery.

That being said, it’s never too late to talk about these issues and seek professional advice. After all, 40% of women’s lifetime is spent in post-menopause. Why suffer in silence? Victoria Park Medispa experts can assess your situation and provide you with the best course of action based on your desired results.
