During the treatment

Overall, the sweat reduction procedure is relatively quick, it only takes about 15 minutes to a half an hour from start to finish. Small needles are used to administer injections. While most patients liken the feeling to a small pin prick sensation. For further comfort, a numbing cream may be applied to the treatment area.

After the treatment

The effects from Botox treatments are usually first noticed as early as three to four days following injection, with full results observed within two weeks. These results should last for approximately six to eight months, but in some instances, patients can go a full year before needing to return for another round of sweat-blocking injections.

Where does the sweat go?
