AviClear Laser

Non-invasive solution

Whether it’s persistent breakouts, hormonal flare-ups, or inflamed cysts that just keep returning, acne can feel like a never-ending cycle. And while topical creams, oral medications (like antibiotics or isotretinoin), and lifestyle changes can help, they often come with systemic side effects, a lengthy course of treatment, or unpredictable results. If you’re seeking a cleaner, longer-lasting solution without daily medications, AviClear® may be the breakthrough your skin has been waiting for. It’s the first and only FDA-cleared laser that treats acne at the source ; no drugs, no downtime, and suitable for all skin tones.

AviClear is a laser-based acne treatment that targets the root cause of acne: overactive sebaceous (oil) glands. By using specific laser wavelengths to gently suppress oil production, AviClear helps reduce the frequency and severity of breakouts. Unlike traditional treatments that fight acne on the surface or with medication, AviClear works beneath the skin to prevent future flare-ups, making it ideal for both teens and adults with mild, moderate, or severe acne. Each treatment takes about 30-45 minutes, and sessions are scheduled roughly 4–6 weeks apart. This spacing gives the laser time to “reset” your sebaceous glands between treatments, so oil production is gradually and safely reduced. You must complete all three sessions to achieve the full benefit of the protocol and most patients begin to notice fewer breakouts even after the first visit.

Technology

AviClear uses a 1726 nm wavelength laser, which is uniquely absorbed by the sebaceous glands. This energy reduces oil production safely and effectively without damaging surrounding tissue. It’s powered by AviCool™ contact cooling, which keeps the skin comfortable during treatment. Best of all, it’s a non-invasive, drug-free solution that works across all skin types and tones.

AviClear Laser Treatment

BEFORE THE TREATMENT

During your consultation, your provider will assess your skin type, acne severity, and treatment history to determine if AviClear is right for you. No special preparation is usually needed, but your provider may advise avoiding sun exposure and retinoids prior to treatment.

DURING THE TREATMENT

AviClear sessions take about 30 to 45 minutes. The device glides over the treatment area while delivering pulses of laser energy. Most patients describe the sensation as mild snapping or warmth. Generally, the treatment is performed without topical anesthesia because it is well tolerated, but alternatives are available for those who are more sensitive. Thanks to the built-in AviCool™ technology, discomfort is minimal.

After THE TREATMENT

There is virtually no downtime. You may notice slight redness or swelling immediately afterward, which typically resolves within a few hours. A transient “purging” phase where existing clogged pores surface can occur in the days following treatment. Most clients resume normal activities the same day, with gradual improvement leading to the best results after completing three monthly sessions.

What conditions can AviClear laser treat?

AviClear is the first and only FDA-cleared laser treatment that targets acne at its source without the need for medication or harsh topical products. It is ideal for teens and adults who struggle with moderate to severe acne, hormonal or cystic breakouts, or even mild acne that has not responded well to traditional options such as antibiotics, Accutane®, or topical regimens. AviClear reduces oil production, leading to fewer active breakouts and long-term acne reduction. The treatment is non-invasive, safe for all skin tones, and offers minimal downtime with no long-term side effects.

Does AviClear hurt?

Most patients describe it as a mild snapping or warming sensation. The built-in AviCool™ technology keeps skin cool and treatment comfortable.

Does AviClear work?

Yes. AviClear selectively targets overactive sebaceous glands, the root cause of inflammatory acne, helping to “reset” oil production and prevent new lesions. In clinical follow-up, 92 % of patients treated saw at least half of their inflammatory acne resolved at 12 months after their final treatment session. (source: aviclear)

How long does AviClear last?

Results can last 6 to 12 months or longer, depending on your skin type and acne severity. Maintenance treatments may be recommended.

How much does AviClear cost?

At Victoria Park Medispa, a complete AviClear series, three in-office treatments, is priced at $3,900. To help make your clear-skin goals more accessible, we offer flexible financing through Beautifi.

Is AviClear covered by insurance?

AviClear is considered a cosmetic treatment and is generally not covered by insurance. However, we have seen some insurance plans provide coverage in certain cases. Since Victoria Park Medispa is a clinic supervised by dermatologists, if AviClear is prescribed by a doctor, taxes can be waived. To make the investment more manageable, every Victoria Park Medispa clinic also offers flexible financing plans.

Is AviClear permanent?

While no acne treatment can guarantee permanent results, AviClear delivers long-term reduction by addressing the root cause in sebaceous glands. Most patients enjoy clear skin for a year or more, with touch-up sessions available if needed

Does AviClear work for hormonal acne?

Yes. Hormonal breakouts are driven by excess sebum production—AviClear’s mechanism directly calms these overactive glands, making it effective against both cyclical (hormonal) and cystic acne
