Halo Laser

Non-invasive solution

If you’ve started noticing fine lines, sunspots, or a dull, uneven complexion, you’re not alone. These are some of the most common and frustrating signs of skin aging. Whether caused by UV exposure, environmental stressors, or the natural aging process, these visible changes can leave your skin looking older and more tired than you feel. At Victoria Park Medispa, our Halo laser treatment offers a refined approach to skin renewal, revitalizing tone, texture, and radiance with minimal downtime and long-lasting results.

Halo is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser, designed to address multiple layers of the skin in a single, customized treatment. By combining both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths, Halo targets the surface and deeper structures of the skin simultaneously. The result is a smoother, more luminous complexion with improved tone, texture, and firmness, without the extended recovery time typically associated with traditional lasers. Whether you’re looking to correct years of sun damage or refresh your skin’s natural glow, Halo laser treatment offers visible, lasting rejuvenation tailored to your skin’s needs.
What is halo laser?

Technology

Halo’s innovation lies in its dual-wavelength delivery system. The ablative wavelength works on the skin’s surface, vaporizing damaged skin cells and improving texture, pigment, and fine lines. Simultaneously, the non-ablative wavelength penetrates the dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin production, encouraging long-term firmness and skin health.

The treatment is fully customizable. Your provider will adjust depth, density, and energy levels based on your skin tone, condition, and desired outcome. With integrated cooling and motion-tracking technology, Halo ensures even, consistent treatment across every area of your skin, offering maximum results with minimal discomfort.

BEFORE THE TREATMENT

Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation, where your provider will examine your skin, review your medical history, and discuss your goals. From there, we create a personalized treatment plan tailored specifically to you. In the days leading up to your session, you may be asked to discontinue the use of active skincare ingredients like retinoids or exfoliants, and to avoid prolonged sun exposure. On the day of your appointment, a topical numbing cream may be applied to ensure a comfortable experience from start to finish.

DURING THE TREATMENT

Your provider will begin the Halo treatment by gliding the laser handpiece across the skin. The device’s motion-tracking system ensures the energy is distributed evenly across the treatment area. You may feel warmth, a prickling sensation, or mild discomfort as the laser energy penetrates both the surface and deeper layers of the skin. Most treatments last 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the area and the depth selected.

After THE TREATMENT

Immediately following your session, your skin will appear red and slightly swollen, with a feeling of warmth or tightness similar to a sunburn. Within the first 24 to 48 hours, you may begin to notice tiny dark spots forming on the skin—these are microscopic treatment zones called MENDS, which flake off as new, healthy skin emerges. This process typically lasts 3 to 5 days. During this time, it is important to follow your customized post-care instructions and use the provided medical-grade skincare to support healing and protect your results.

You’ll begin to see visible improvements in skin tone and texture within the first week, with continued collagen production and skin renewal over the following months. The result is smoother, brighter, more radiant skin that feels refreshed and beautifully restored.

FAQ

Got questions about the Halo laser? We’ve got your answers here

Who is a good candidate for Halo laser?

Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that suits people looking to correct both surface-level and deeper skin concerns in a single treatment. It can be effective for those with sun damage, pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven tone and texture, acne scars, surgical scars, age spots, freckles, or melasma. Candidates often choose Halo if they want noticeable improvement with customizable downtime.

Does Halo laser hurt?

Discomfort is minimal. A topical numbing cream may be applied prior to treatment to ensure comfort throughout. Most clients describe the sensation as a warm, prickling feeling with mild sensitivity that subsides shortly after the session.

Does Halo laser tighten skin?

Yes. While not a skin-tightening procedure per se, Halo stimulates collagen and elastin production in the dermis, which can improve firmness and elasticity over time. Many clients notice skin that feels smoother, denser, and more refined in the weeks following treatment.

Is Halo laser safe for dark skin?

Yes. Halo’s customizable settings allow providers to safely treat a wide range of skin tones, including Fitzpatrick types IV–VI. During your consultation, your provider will assess your skin to ensure safe, effective treatment with minimized risk of pigmentation concerns.

How long do Halo laser results last?

Results are long-lasting when supported with proper skincare and sun protection. Many clients enjoy visible improvements for years and choose to maintain their results with annual or biannual treatments.

What is the difference between Halo and CO2 laser?

While both treatments resurface the skin, Halo offers a gentler approach with significantly less downtime. CO2 lasers are fully ablative and often require extended healing, whereas Halo’s hybrid fractional technology treats both surface and deep layers with a more comfortable recovery and excellent results.

Does Halo laser make melasma worse?

Melasma can be sensitive to heat and inflammation. When carefully performed by an experienced provider using conservative settings, Halo can improve skin tone without aggravating melasma. A consultation is essential to determine whether Halo is the best option for your skin.
