Clear + Brilliant Laser

BEFORE THE TREATMENT

To ensure optimal results and reduce the risk of irritation, a short preparation period is required before your session. You will be advised to avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least four weeks prior to treatment. Products containing retinol, hydroquinone, or exfoliating acids such as glycolic, salicylic, or lactic acid should be discontinued about one week before your appointment. Your skin must be free of makeup, fragrance, and lotion on the day of treatment. If you have a history of cold sores, please speak with your provider about starting an antiviral medication to reduce the risk of flare-up.

DURING THE TREATMENT

Each session typically lasts around 30 minutes. After applying a topical numbing cream, your provider will pass the Clear + Brilliant handpiece over the treatment area in a pattern tailored to your skin’s needs. You may feel a sensation of heat or tingling as the laser works, but most clients find the experience to be very tolerable. The skin may feel warm or slightly rough immediately afterward, similar to a mild sunburn.

After THE TREATMENT

Following treatment, your skin will likely appear flushed or pink, with a sensation of warmth lasting several hours. Some patients describe the skin texture as feeling like fine sandpaper for up to a week. This is part of the natural renewal process and usually resolves on its own.

Makeup can typically be applied the next day, although it is best to let your skin breathe for as long as possible. It is essential to apply a mineral-based sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher every day, as your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight in the days following treatment. Avoid active skincare ingredients, hot yoga, saunas, and heavy exercise until your provider confirms your skin has fully recovered.

Your provider may recommend a post-treatment routine using soothing products such as gentle cleansers, healing balms, and barrier-repair moisturizers to support the skin during this renewal phase
