Technology

Developed by Sciton, a global leader in energy-based aesthetic systems, the ClearSilk laser uses a 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength to penetrate the dermis with controlled thermal energy. This dual-action approach targets both redness and skin aging. The vascular normalization reduces dilated capillaries and visible redness, offering relief for rosacea and flushing. Simultaneously, the heat stimulates fibroblast activity, encouraging the skin to produce more collagen and elastin for firmer, smoother texture.

BEFORE THE TREATMENT

To ensure the best possible results, your provider will review your skincare regimen and make personalized recommendations. In general, it is important to avoid direct sun exposure for at least two to four weeks before your session. Skincare products containing exfoliating agents such as retinol, glycolic acid, or salicylic acid should be paused three to five days prior to your appointment. Inform your provider of any medications or supplements that may increase skin sensitivity or bruising.

On the day of your appointment, arrive with clean, product-free skin. For men, preparation also requires shaving on the day of treatment.

DURING THE TREATMENT

Your ClearSilk session begins with a gentle cleanse of the skin. Protective eyewear is provided, and your technician will perform slow, even passes with the ClearSilk handpiece. Most clients describe the sensation as warm and calming, similar to a hot stone massage. There is no discomfort, and no need for numbing. Treatment typically takes between 30 and 40 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.

After THE TREATMENT

Following your session, your skin may appear lightly flushed, much like a post-exercise glow. This usually subsides within one to two hours. There is no peeling or irritation, and no disruption to your skin barrier.

You may resume your regular skincare and makeup routine the same day. However, sun protection becomes especially important. Apply a broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher every morning, and avoid intense sun exposure for at least one week.
