What is diVa?

diVa is a quick, no-downtime non-surgical vaginal treatment that uses the world’s first and only revolutionary Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL) technology to address a woman’s most intimate challenges. With two types of energy the treatment aids in resurfacing the vaginal skin, while also stimulating the re-growth of new collagen, blood vessels, and nerve endings below the surface of the vaginal walls. The deeper layer of the vaginal skin is responsible for the elastic nature of the vagina, the lubrication of the vaginal skin, and the sensitivity of the vaginal canal. Restoring this deeper vaginal layer, creates significant long-term changes to dry, lax and painful tissue.

The results:

  • Increased lubrication and sensation during intercourse
  • Tightened vaginal canal
  • Enhanced ability to reach orgasm
  • Improved control over mild stress urinary incontinence
  • Significant improvement in confidence and quality of life

*Results may vary.

diVaTyte is a laser treatment that we can use in combination with diva to address the outer tissue of the vagina for a rejuvenated appearance.

FAQs about diVa laser vaginal rejuvenation

Who is an ideal candidate for the treatment?

Any woman who is having issues with urinary stress incontinence, vaginal dryness, or desires vaginal tightness and lubrication, is a potential candidate for laser vaginal therapy.

After childbirth, women may notice that the vaginal canal, and surrounding tissue, has been stretched. Many women notice decreased sexual satisfaction and a decreased ability to hold urine in. Similarly, menopause, hysterectomy, chemotherapy and breastfeeding can reduce estrogen levels, which may result in the thinning, drying, or inflammation of the vaginal walls. For many women, this may decrease vaginal lubrication, and lead to discomfort. Every woman is unique and so are her needs. diVa technology allows your specialist to customize your treatment to address your intimate challenges from aesthetic to functional.

Why choose diVa over other vaginal laser systems?

  1. diVa treatments are completed in only 3 – 5 minutes and customized to the patient’s multiple concerns and needs. No other vaginal laser system on the market can do this.
  2. Each diVa treatment utilizes a high quality strengthened quartz dilator which is disposed of after each use. The laser hand piece is placed within the applicator and never touches the patient. This assures the highest level of hygiene with no risk of cross contamination.
  3. diVa utilizes high precision automation of laser delivery which removes the potential for operator error and the creation of “hot spots” that can occur with systems utilizing manual maneuvering of the hand piece.
  4. diVa treatments are comfortable. It is the only system to utilize technology with dual wavelengths, allowing for highly effective, customizable treatment associated with little pain, negligible complication rates, faster tissue healing and return to normal sexual activity*.

What do patients experience during the treatment?

Patients will experience a slight pressure against the vaginal wall during laser resurfacing. The treatment itself is fast – less than five minutes – with minimal discomfort.

What do patients experience in the 48 hours following the treatment?

Clients may return to most normal activities following treatment; however, they should avoid working out for 24-48hrs. For 24-48 hours following treatment they may have spotting and light cramping (less than menstrual cramps). For 1 week following treatment, no penetration (sexual, tampons etc), baths or swimming pools.

Are there risks of adverse events with diVa?

As of August 2018, over 10,000 diVa treatments have been delivered with only one reported adverse event unrelated to internal diVa treatment.  Like Victoria Park Medispa, the makers of diVa receive unsolicited feedback from patients telling them how diVa has provided them with profound relief in cases where they could find no other solution.

What makes diVA a great non-surgical mommy makeover treatment?

It’s no secret that pregnancy and childbirth change women’s bodies, inside and out. What is a secret, however, despite our best efforts, is that there are solutions to help with some of these unwanted changes.

diVa can help stimulate the growth of new collagen, blood vessels, and nerve endings below the surface of the vaginal walls. The deeper layer of the vaginal skin is responsible for the elastic nature of the vagina, the lubrication of the vaginal skin and the sensitivity of the vaginal canal. Restoring this deeper vaginal layer creates significant long-term changes to dry, lax or painful tissue.

How long do I need to wait following childbirth to begin diVA treatments and do I need to be done breastfeeding?

Postpartum women should wait a minimum of 6 months before proceeding with any of our sexual health treatments, such as diVA, diVaTyte, Emsella, G Shot or O Shot. It’s important to give the body ample time to recover following childbirth. Fortunately, for breastfeeding women there are no contraindications to note, so book a consultation around your 6-month mark or whenever you’re ready to learn more.

That being said, it’s never too late to talk about these issues and seek professional advice. After all, 40% of women’s lifetime is spent in post-menopause. Why suffer in silence? Victoria Park specialists can assess your situation and provide you with the best course of action based on your desired results.
