Dr.Melinda Gooderham

Dr. Melinda Gooderham is a board-certified dermatologist and the Medical Director of Victoria Park Medispa Peterborough and Victoria Park Medispa Cobourg. She also serves as Medical Director of the SKiN Centre for Dermatology and Principal Investigator at the SKiN Research Centre. Dr. Gooderham was responsible for opening the first comprehensive dermatology centre in the Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario, which includes state-of-the-art phototherapy facilities, a psoriasis treatment centre, a patch test clinic, and a dedicated research department.

Dr. Gooderham is an active member of numerous professional societies, including the Canadian Dermatology Association, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. A recognized international speaker and educator, she shares her dermatology expertise at conferences around the world. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at Queen’s University and a Consultant Physician at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC). She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and Vice President of the Dermatology Association of Ontario.

Deeply committed to medical education, Dr. Gooderham trains medical students, residents, nurse practitioners, and physicians through both lectures and hands-on clinical experience. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Western Ontario in 1999 and completed her Dermatology residency at the University of Toronto in 2004. Before her medical studies, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Queen’s University in 1992 and a Master of Science degree from the University of Guelph in 1995.
