Dr.Barb Loiskandl

Dr. Barb Loiskandl is a practising physician and the co-founder of Laser Health Works, with clinics in Barrie and Midland, now Victoria Park Medispa Barrie and Victoria Park Medispa Midland. She has focused her practice exclusively on aesthetic medicine since 2000, perfecting numerous techniques to offer her clients an ever more personalized approach. Dr. Barb Loiskandl is also a sought-after speaker and educator in the field of aesthetic injections and has been training physicians and nurses since 2005.

Dr. Barb boasts an impressive educational background, having obtained her medical degree from McMaster University in 1986 and completing a Family Medicine Residency at Queen’s University two years later. Since then, she has sought out extensive training on the topics of medical aesthetics and cosmetic enhancement around the world. A distinguished member of both Ontario’s Medical Association as well as Royal College Physicians & Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Barb has also pursued media opportunities throughout her career -most notably acting for 10+ years as CKVR/The New VR/CTV Barrie’s premier medical correspondent in addition to making appearances on CP24 multiple times as a guest host.

Dr. Barb is an esteemed Fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, who also serves as both Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at McMaster University since 2002 and Associate Professor at Northern Ontario Medical School since 2015. She takes her dedication to community further by engaging with local autism society initiatives and advocating for improved services that are beneficial to autistic children throughout the province.
