PRP Treatment for hair loss

Non-invasive solution
Solutions for Hair Loss.

Hair thinning, receding hairlines, or sudden hair loss can be distressing. Whether due to aging, genetics, hormonal shifts, or medical conditions, many Canadians are seeking effective and natural hair loss solutions. At Victoria Park Medispa, our PRP hair loss treatment offers a non-surgical, science-backed approach to restore hair health using the body’s own regenerative abilities.

PRP therapy is a leading-edge hair loss treatment that uses your own blood to promote healing and stimulate hair regrowth. PRP contains growth factors that help revive dormant hair follicles and improve hair thickness. It’s a powerful alternative to invasive procedures like hair transplants, especially for men and women with early to moderate types of hair loss. At Victoria Park Medispa, our PRP treatment begins with drawing a small sample of your blood, which is then spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the PRP. This powerful serum is precisely injected into the scalp, targeting areas of thinning hair and activating the body’s natural hair regrowth process.

Technology

PRP therapy works by introducing concentrated growth factors into areas of hair loss. These naturally occurring growth signals help activate and rejuvenate dormant hair follicles by increasing blood supply and extending the growth phase of the hair cycle. Clinical research shows PRP can lead to noticeable improvements, like increased hair density, reduced shedding, and stronger, healthier strands.

In one placebo-controlled study, participants experienced an average increase of nearly 46 hairs per square centimeter after PRP treatment, with no significant side effects reported (Gentile et al., 2015).

Results vary from person to person. A personalized consultation is the best way to determine if you’re a candidate and what kind of outcome you can realistically expect.

PRP uses your body’s own regenerative mechanisms to produce real results without chemicals or medication.

Treatments for Hair Loss

Before the treatment

You’ll meet with one of our experienced medical professionals for a personalized assessment. We’ll determine if PRP is right for your specific type of hair loss and answer any questions you may have.

Wondering if you are a candidate for this groundbreaking treatment? Book a consultation with one of our Victoria Park Medispa experts! At your appointment, we will address your concerns and come up with a game plan to get your glorious mane back.

During THE TREATMENT

The process begins with a simple blood draw, similar to a routine test. The blood is processed to concentrate the PRP. Then, using a specialized injection device, we deliver the PRP precisely into the affected areas of your scalp. The entire session typically takes 45 minutes to 1 hour.

After THE TREATMENT

Patients often start seeing early improvements within a few weeks. For best results, we recommend a series of four sessions, spaced two weeks apart. Maintenance treatments every few months help preserve and enhance your outcome. Our packages include a free follow-up session within the first month to ensure you’re on track.

Related Conditions

PRP is ideal for those experiencing mild to moderate hair thinning or early-stage androgenetic alopecia. If you’re beginning to lose hair, noticing bald patches, or dealing with post-partum hair loss or stress-related shedding, PRP may be the solution.

Got questions about treatments for Hair Loss? We’ve got your answers here

Do hair loss treatments cure baldness?

Hair restoration treatments are not for baldness, but for improving hair thickness and supporting their growth. Activated platelets and growth factors found in blood plasma stimulate the regrowth of the follicular bulb (hair root), thereby reversing the miniaturization of hair follicles that is associated with hair loss. As a result of the treatment, hair is expected to become thicker and healthier.

What kind of results can I expect for hair thickening?

PRP therapy is not a hair loss cure, but a highly effective treatment to boost hair density and strength. Clinical trials and patient experience suggest an average hair regrowth density increase of 25–30%, with improvements noticeable from the third month.
In a published study, patients with early-stage alopecia (Grades II–III) experienced significantly greater improvements in hair density compared to the control group. While results vary, PRP for hair has demonstrated consistent success in reversing miniaturization of hair follicles, making hair appear fuller and healthier. (Li et al., 2024)
