Non-invasive solution
Laser hair removal at Victoria Park Medispa is a medical treatment designed to provide long-term hair reduction for both women and men. The laser emits a targeted light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair; the resulting heat damages the hair follicle at its source, gradually slowing regrowth without harming the surrounding skin. Using advanced technology and medical supervision, the treatment is safe, precise, and suitable for a wide range of skin types. Over a series of sessions, hair becomes finer, sparser, and the skin noticeably smoother.

Laser hair removal uses targeted light energy to act on the melanin within the hair and reach the hair follicle. This energy is converted into heat to progressively reduce future hair growth while preserving the surrounding skin. At Victoria Park Medispa, we use advanced laser technologies designed to safely and effectively treat all skin tones, including Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI. Our systems also feature integrated cooling technology to maximize comfort throughout the treatment, making laser hair removal a fast, precise, and well-tolerated solution for long-term hair reduction.
Pregnancy may require postponing the treatment depending on the clinical protocol.
Any active skin disorder in the treatment area, including skin infections, inflammatory skin conditions, or active skin cancer, contraindicates the session.
Recent sun exposure, sunburns, self-tanner, or heavily tanned skin may require temporary postponement of treatment.
Photosensitizing medications or heavily tanned skin may require temporary postponement.

Laser energy is attracted to the pigment in the hair, much like sunlight is attracted to darker clothing. For this reason, laser hair removal is generally most effective on individuals with lighter skin tones and dark, coarse hair. However, many people can still achieve excellent results. If your skin is tanned, we recommend protecting it from the sun and allowing the tan to fade before treatment for optimal results.
At Victoria Park Medispa, we guarantee the lowest price.
We are committed to providing state-of-the-art medical aesthetic treatments. We also believe our prices are competitive and reflect the quality of care we provide. However, if you find a lower price for an equivalent service, let us know so you can experience the extraordinary without compromise. Your trust and well-being are at the heart of everything we do.
To ensure consistency and quality of care, we require that the clinic use the specified equipment or equivalent alternatives and that all treatments be performed by qualified professionals. The following devices are recognized and approved under our policy:

Our price match policy applies only to medical aesthetic clinics located within a 10-kilometre radius of the Victoria Park Medispa clinic where the price adjustment is requested. To qualify, clients must provide verifiable proof of the competitor's pricing before booking their treatment. The competitor’s lower price must be valid at the time of purchase. This policy does not apply to treatments that have already been paid for or completed.
We reserve the right to refuse any price adjustment that we do not consider comparable. The adjusted price may not necessarily match the competitor’s exact price.
Pricing discrepancies resulting from advertising errors, typographical errors, special promotions, open house events, anniversary sales, discount coupons, clearance sales, demonstrations, financing offers, discontinued products, exclusive offers, rewards programs, membership pricing, or any pricing not generally available to the public are excluded.
We reserve the right to verify competitor pricing within a reasonable timeframe.
Clients may purchase the equivalent number of treatments advertised by the competitor, up to a maximum of six treatments per client if no maximum quantity is specified.
Yes. Laser hair removal provides gradual and long-lasting hair reduction.
After completing a full series of treatments, many clients experience significant hair reduction (up to 80–90%), with regrowth appearing finer, lighter, and much less noticeable.
Laser hair removal offers many benefits beyond eliminating the need for regular shaving or waxing:
- Long-term results
- Cost savings over time
- Prevention of ingrown hairs
- Fast treatments
- No need to wait for hair regrowth between sessions
- Less painful than waxing
A single treatment is not enough to achieve long-lasting results. A minimum of six sessions, spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart, is generally recommended. Maintenance treatments may be required afterward to manage future hair growth.
This is due to the natural hair growth cycle: only hairs in the active growth phase can be effectively targeted by laser treatment.
Following treatment, some visible hairs or a shadow effect caused by residual hair within the follicle may remain. These remnants will naturally shed over the following days. As hair regrows, it typically becomes finer and lighter than before.
Results may vary depending on factors such as hormones and certain medications. However, most patients experience a significant reduction in hair growth that can last for many years.
Anyone looking to achieve long-term hair reduction and improve skin comfort may be a good candidate.
The treatment is particularly popular among individuals who experience ingrown hairs, frequent irritation, or rapid hair regrowth.
Laser hair removal is particularly effective for treating dark, coarse hair on lighter skin tones.
The procedure may present additional risks for very dark skin tones, as the skin may absorb some of the laser energy, increasing the risk of burns. Your medical aesthetician will determine whether you are an appropriate candidate during your consultation.
Yes. You should shave the treatment area on the day of your appointment. This allows the laser to better target the hair follicle while minimizing unnecessary heating of hair above the skin’s surface.
*For your first appointment, please leave a small area approximately the size of a $2 coin unshaved within the treatment zone. This allows your medical aesthetician to assess your hair type, density, and pigmentation in order to customize the laser settings for your skin and hair characteristics.
Yes, shaving is permitted—and even encouraged—between treatments. However, avoid waxing or tweezing, as these methods remove the hair follicle and can reduce the effectiveness of laser treatment.
Laser hair removal is faster for large treatment areas because it targets multiple hairs at once. Electrolysis is slower because it treats one hair at a time, making it more suitable for smaller areas.
Both methods use light to target hair follicles, but IPL uses a broad spectrum of light, while laser hair removal uses a more concentrated wavelength. This concentration generally makes laser treatments more effective, particularly for deeper penetration.
- Shave the treatment area on the day of treatment
- Avoid sun exposure and self-tanning products for at least two weeks before treatment
- Do not wear makeup if the face is being treated
- Stop waxing and tweezing three weeks before treatment
- Do not wear deodorant if treating the underarms
- Avoid intense physical activity for two hours before and after treatment
- Wait 14 days before or after neuromodulator injections in the same treatment area

- Apply a cold compress if needed
- Avoid sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ sunscreen
- Do not scratch the treated area
- Avoid waxing, electrolysis, or tweezing (shaving is permitted)
- Gently cleanse the area for 3 days without scrubbing
- Avoid very hot water for the first 24 hours
With realistic expectations, laser hair removal can simplify your grooming routine by providing smoother, hair-free skin for years to come.
Treatments are generally scheduled every 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the treatment area and your hair growth cycle.
