      FAQ

Got questions about Halo Laser? We’ve got your answers here!

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR HALO® LASER TREATMENT?

HALO® laser treatment is ideal for individuals looking to improve skin texture, tone, radiance, and overall skin quality. It is commonly used to treat sun damage, fine lines, enlarged pores, uneven pigmentation, acne scars, and other signs of aging.

HALO is particularly suited for patients seeking noticeable results with less downtime than traditional resurfacing lasers. A consultation will help determine whether HALO is appropriate for your skin type and goals.

      WHAT DOES HALO® LASER TREAT?

HALO® laser skin resurfacing can improve:

      - Sun damage and age spots
      - Uneven skin tone and pigmentation
      - Fine lines and wrinkles
      - Enlarged pores
      - Acne scars and mild scarring
      - Rough skin texture
      - Dull or aging skin

The treatment targets both the surface and deeper layers of the skin to promote healthier, smoother, and more radiant-looking skin.

      DOES HALO® TIGHTEN THE SKIN?

Yes. While HALO is not primarily a skin-tightening treatment, it stimulates collagen and elastin production, which can improve skin firmness and elasticity over time. Many patients notice smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin in the months following treatment.

IS HALO® SAFE FOR DARKER SKIN TYPES?

Yes. HALO's customizable settings allow treatment across a wide range of skin tones, including Fitzpatrick skin types IV to VI. During your consultation, your provider will assess your skin and treatment goals to ensure a safe and effective approach while minimizing the risk of pigmentation concerns.

HOW LONG DO HALO® RESULTS LAST?

HALO results can last for years when combined with proper skincare and daily sun protection. Many patients choose annual or semi-annual maintenance treatments to help preserve and enhance their results.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HALO® AND CO2 LASER?

Both treatments improve skin texture and signs of aging, but HALO offers a gentler approach with significantly less downtime. Traditional CO2 lasers are fully ablative and typically require a longer recovery period. HALO's hybrid fractional technology treats both superficial and deeper layers of the skin while providing excellent results with a more comfortable recovery.

      CAN HALO® HELP IMPROVE MELASMA?

Melasma can be sensitive to heat and inflammation. When performed by an experienced provider using appropriate settings, HALO may help improve overall skin tone and pigmentation. A consultation is recommended to determine whether HALO is the best treatment option for your specific concerns.

HOW MANY HALO® TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

Many patients achieve noticeable improvement after a single treatment. Depending on the severity of skin concerns and desired results, additional treatments may be recommended.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS AFTER HALO®?

Initial improvements are typically visible within 1 to 2 weeks. Skin quality, tone, and texture continue to improve over the following months as new collagen develops.

      DOES HALO® LASER HURT?

Most patients tolerate HALO well. A topical numbing cream may be applied before treatment to improve comfort. During the procedure, patients commonly experience a sensation of warmth and heat, which is generally manageable.

CAN HALO® BE COMBINED WITH OTHER TREATMENTS?

Yes. HALO can be incorporated into a customized treatment plan and is often combined with treatments such as BBL®, neuromodulators, dermal fillers, or medical-grade skincare products to further enhance results.
