HOW THE
TREATMENT WORKS
Ultherapy PRIME uses micro-focused ultrasound with real-time visualization (MFU-V) to stimulate collagen and elastin production at the same structural depths addressed in a surgical facelift, up to 4.5mm below the skin's surface, without cutting or otherwise damaging the skin itself. The platform delivers treatment roughly 20% faster than earlier Ultherapy technology, with a sharper, wider imaging view that lets your provider see beneath the skin with more clarity while planning and delivering energy.
Step 1
Your provider evaluates your skin's laxity, discusses your goals, and identifies which areas and depths will benefit most from treatment. This is also when questions about comfort, downtime, and expected results are addressed.
Step 2
The treatment area is cleansed and a conductive gel is applied to prepare the skin for the ultrasound applicator.
Step 3
Using the platform's enhanced visualization display, your provider views the structural layers beneath the skin to precisely map where energy will be delivered.
Step 4
Focused ultrasound energy is delivered at the planned depths, stimulating new collagen and elastin production. The faster delivery speed of PRIME shortens the time spent in this step compared to earlier platforms.
Step 5
Firming continues to build over the following weeks as new collagen forms, with results typically peaking around 2 to 3 months after treatment.
Step 6
Your provider may apply a soothing product to the treated area and walks you through any personalized aftercare recommendations before you leave.

As a precaution, this treatment is postponed during pregnancy.
SKIN DISORDERS
Any active skin disorder, infection, irritation, or open lesion must be fully healed before the session.
IMPLANTS
The presence of permanent metallic implants or electronic devices (pacemaker, defibrillator) in the treatment area must be evaluated prior to treatment.
