Dr.Janelle Cyr

Dr. Janelle Cyr is a board-certified dermatologist and a graduate of McGill University. After completing an undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa with honours and a Master of Science in Clinical Studies at McGill, Dr. Cyr discovered that her passion for health, well-being, and anatomy aligned perfectly with the practice of medicine. Her fascination with the connection between the skin, the immune system, and psychological well-being led her to pursue a career in dermatology. She takes pride in helping patients feel more confident through the care she provides.

Dr. Cyr has published numerous peer-reviewed dermatology papers on skin cancers, medical education, and patient comfort factors. Her patients describe her as empathetic, professional, and trustworthy. In 2023, she received the Patient Care Award from the University of Ottawa’s Division of Dermatology. As chief resident during her residency, she demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, earning the National Resident Leadership Award from the Canadian Dermatology Association.

Her favourite treatments include rosacea, acne, and scar management, as well as the removal of benign lesions using advanced medical and laser technologies available at Victoria Park Medispa. She also values the role of aesthetic injectables, such as neuromodulators, for achieving natural and refreshed results.
