Dr. Janelle Cyr is a board-certified dermatologist and a graduate of McGill University. After graduating with honours from her undergraduate degree in human kinetics at the University of Ottawa and clinical Master of science degree at McGill, Dr. Cyr discovered that her passion for health, well-being and anatomy intersected within medicine.

Her fascination with the skin’s impact on our psychological well-being and its intricate relationship with the immune system is what led Dr. Cyr to specialize in dermatology. She takes pride in boosting her patients’ self-confidence through the treatments she provides.

Dr. Cyr has published numerous peer-reviewed dermatology research papers focusing on skin cancers, medical education, and the importance of patient comfort factors. Her patients describe her as empathetic, professional, and trustworthy. It’s no wonder she received the ‘Patient Care Award’ in 2023 from the University of Ottawa Division of Dermatology. Having served as chief resident during her residency, she also has a passion for leadership roles and won the national resident leadership award granted by the Canadian Dermatology Association.

Her favourite treatments include those for rosacea, acne and scarring, as well as the removal of bothersome lesions using medical or physical modalities, such as the various laser technologies offered at Victoria Park. She values how aesthetic injectables, like neuromodulators, can subtly yet significantly enhance appearance, offering a natural, refreshed look. Dr. Cyr takes a thorough and thoughtful approach to dermatology and aims to help her patients look and feel their best!
